Friends: 18 | Unless there's a software "Fix", I'd say you'd have to update the code within the NAV unit itself. the DVD may contain the software for this, or it may be contained in flash in the NAV unit itself. |

Friends: 0 | Is it possible to somehow use buttons on the steering wheel to get past the screen? I usually leave my display on the consumption screen. When I want to see the map I use the Map button on the steering wheel, but then always have to reach over to press the "I agree" button on the display. It seems odd that this screen is acknowledging that it is dangerous to use while driving, but then it forces you to touch it. Or am I missing something here? |

Friends: 0 | About the only thing that might work without reprogramming is to rewire the NAV so it never loses full power. Then it might not realize the car was powered off, and it won't ask again. Of course, the drain on the battery would probably hurt. If it survives a whole night, then maybe daily use of the car would keep things straight, but I'd expect trouble if left sitting for days... |

Friends: 0 | I get a simular message from my Garmin iQue and the Street Pilot does the same thing. I would suspect it a legal issue and short of killing all the lawyers in the US you have to live with it. Or there is tort reform ... right like all the lawyers in Congress and the State houses would allow that! Henry Drygas |
