Friends: 0 | I did alot of thinking about sattelite radio, and decided to go with XM. However, I couldn't justify paying for a subscription strictly for my car, since I am typically in the car about 1 hour per day, usually commuting to and from work. I don't want to pay for a subscption for my car and another reduced subscription for my home and yet another for my office, using different units. Instead, I decided to try my luck, after much research, to try the Pioneer Inno. I am hoping it will be as versatile to take from car to home audio box or stereo receiver and then to my office with an audio box. I am curious if anyone has one, and if so, how do they like it and how well does it work in the car, home, office etc?

Friends: 0 | I have one (or I had, I gave it to a friend) and it works pretty good with the cradle. It doesn't get the best reception while running, but she said she was going to try out these nifty headphones that have the antenna built into the top, and I'm betting that would help ALOT. It's a nifty unit, it's a shame they only made it so 1/2 the memory can be used for MP3's. |

Friends: 1 | I bought one for the same reason. I don't love the reception issues with it, but I haven't installed it properly with the car kit with the cradle. I order to get the best reception, you have to route the antenna to the outside. I've been too busy/lazy to attempt this, so when I have tried it in my car I don't always get a steady signal. I do like the hardware though. What I basically do now is record hours of programming at home to it's memory while the unit is sitting still with a steady signal. So when I'm in the car I just playback the recorded audio.

Friends: 0 | I have a Pioneer Airware, which is like that, only without the MP3. I use it mainly in the car, but also at home. The built-in antenna for portable use is OK, but it's rarely used like that. I have also used it in my wife's car, using the cassette adapter. It's nice being able to use it in multiple locations. BTW, the antenna is behind the regular antenna. I have a 2005 and therefore no AUX input. When the DICE came out, I decided to update my old MP3 player to an iPod and use the DICE's AUX input for the XM radio.

Friends: 1 | I almost forgot. There are two different Inno models. The original has an FM transmitter built in so that you can playback your inno through the cars FM stereo. The more recent model looks exactly the same, but they they implemented something called sureconnect which requires you to connect something from the inno you cars antenna in order for the FM tranmitter to work. I think the transmitter in the first one was too powerful so they had some FCC issues. If the model number says GEXINNO2BK then it is the newer model but the print ads usually just say Inno. I have the original Inno and it was a pain on long road trips when a station that was free in one town wasn't free in another town so I just used the aux input. |

I now have my Pioneer Inno and absolutely love it! I can take it from car to my office to home. I have installed hookups in each location, so it is just a matter of taking the Inno with me! I am a first time subscriber to XM and absolutely love it! My fav stations so far are: Deep Tracks; XM Chill; The Loft; Watercolors; and Audio Visions! | |

Friends: 6 | I have an Inno- I bought the AirWare last year, and it died earlier this year about a week before the warranty was up (the place I ordered it from, myradiostore.com, gave me full credit toward the purchase of the Inno). I have the cradle installed next to the MFD, and the antenna is just behind the AM/FM antenna. The power cord is connected directly to a hot wire so I don't need to use the power adapter, and the signal goes into my aux jack. I am VERY pleased with it. It's a big improvement over the AirWare; even though it's smaller, the display is much easier to read. The reception is great- once in awhile, I'll lose the signal for a second if I'm near a high building; other than that, no problems. At home I have the cradle plugged into my stereo and the antenna is inside a south-facing window. Usually the signal's OK, but I'm going to get an extension cable for the antenna and mount it on my porch, which should be better. I occasionally carry it around while walking, and I think I'm going to try the headphones with the built-in antenna. I don't use it to play MP3s as I have an iPod, but I love the record feature. I like the Deep Track channel on XM- if you heard a great song that you haven't heard in years, it's nice to be able to press one button and record it. |

Friends: 0 | Soooo the XM radio install job that my dad did... which drained my battery.... doesn't work.... I get some service when driving, but it cuts out ALOT... like to the point where ya just have to turn it off.... The XM radio works fine when I use it around the house or at the gym... but its a no go with the car kit... Has anyone else had this problem? or is my car kit faulty? |
