Friends: 0 | I have a 2006 Prius with the standard radio (no AuxIn or CD Changer). There are no jacks in the back of the radio except for the antenna connector. Has anyone figured out how to modify this radio to accept an Ipod directly? In this media-saturated market (Chicago) none of the aftermarket RF-type Ipod adapters work well (and believe me, I've tried several including the Harman Kardon Drive N Play, wired directly through the antenna input.) Is anybody out there a radio tech? |

I was told by somebody at toyota.ca "I checked the model of your radio and there is no way that you can plug any adapter as there is no connector in the back" then I slid a mirror behind the radio and saw what looked like an empty connector then I was told by a friendly toyota tech (after he looked on his computer for 15 mn: " there is a connector on the back, but it is not documented " then I e-wrote to vaistech.com as their web site says that their adaptor does connect to the prius 06 standard radio. he confirmed: yes it will connect. then I bought their SLI, had it installed (in St Louis) Findings: 1- there is a connector 2- you can plug the vaistech adapter (SLI) (may be others) 3- it works Note: I found that there are various standard radio model numbers. |

Friends: 0 | The back of your radio does have the 10-pin accessory port so you are able to add aftermarket accessories. |
