I recently bought two Centros, one for my wife and one for me and used the pairing instructions for SPRINT for my Verizon that are on the Toyota Let's Talk site.
Here's what it looks like and it was smooth as silk.

The only thing I couldn't do was transfer my whole book of contacts, but I already had a book installed from another phone.
Now, I'm trying to figure out how to have both phones work without jockeying the PHONE icons.
A better way to see this is from Toyota.letstalk.com and follow the prompts, or put this in your search bar.

One additional setting was necessary for my bluetooth setup to work: Turn the Centro phone OFF before attempting to pair it with the Prius. Before I read that on another discussion, my Centro bluetooth would recognize the rius habds free, but the Prius bluetooth hung up waiting for a coonnect.

Once the pairing is complete, you can turn on the phone and call just as described.

Mine wouldn't complete pairing until I also placed a call. In other words, turn the phone off (press and hold the red button); the Centro will still be on. Follow the instructions above. Turn the phone back on (press and hold the red button) and make a call. Once the call goes through, the Prius MFD will clear the "pairing" idsplay and pairing is complete.

On a separate not, please let me know if you have success in transferring your phonebook. Mine transfers, but all of the phone numbers show up as "+1"

Thanks and good luck!

Default Re: Pairing Palm Centro (VERIZON) to Prius

I was able to get my '07 Prius to work (sort of) with my Verizon Centro, thanks to the tips listed above. But:

- When I start the car, it doesn't always see the blue tooth- I have to take the phone out of my purse and press the red "on" button and the "phone" button and then the car sees the phone.
-Sometimes the car doesn't ring for an incoming call- suddenly my radio volume drops and I realize someone has connected.
- I still can't get it to transfer contacts
- I get more "terminated by network" calls than I did with my old RazR

BTW- I called Palm tech support and the guy said they don't support the Centro with the Prius. He then started to read me a list of cars they do support with the Centro, like I was going to go buy a new car... I told him I wasn't buying a new car to go with my phone!

Any more tips from folks?

Default Re: Pairing Palm Centro (VERIZON) to Prius

I have just got a 2010 Prius IV and am still trying to get it to work with my Palm Centro (AT&T). I thought bluetooth was broken but I took it to the dealer and he succesfully paired 2 other phones. I have tried the techniques listed in this thread (turn it off, turn it off then on during pairing and make a call) but have not been able to get it to pair. The phone says that it is paired but the Prius keeps saying "searching" until it times out. Are there any other tricks or methods that I can use?

Thanks for any help.

For those interested. I was able to get the centro (AT&T) paired with the 2010 Prius after using both the "turn reception off" and then hitting the menu botton after the phone recognized the Prius from the "trusted devices screen". It showed connect and when I hit the center button on my centro the Prius finally stopped saying "searching" and recognized/paired the phone. Now I have to get it to download the phone book when I get a chance.
