Friends: 0 | Is is me or does the FM reception on the 2005 Prius suck? I live in the SF Bay Area, and so far my my 10 year old Celica gets better reception than my new Prius. Anybody else having this problem? Ryan |

Friends: 0 | Yes, it sucks. I solved that problem by installing XM, but you're right, it should be much better, especially considering this (mine at least) is the "premium" sound system. Geoff |

Friends: 0 | I've got the 2004 and I'm under the impression it's the same car. But my reception is about the best of any car I've owned recently. I used to listen to 2 stations because I drive about 25 miles to work and I used to have to change stations all the time. One station closer to work, the other closer to my home. Now I can usually stick with one. So the radio must not be the same. |

Friends: 0 | I've got package 9 which is supposed to be like the 2005 package C. It's got the 9 speaker system. The current system is a JBL. When I go home tonight I'll see if mine is also the JBL. Who knows, maybe it will turn out that your antenna is not hooked up or something like that. |

Friends: 0 | No, its not the speakers. CD sounds great. Some stations sound good. I don't have the premium sound package, just the basic. Perhaps my tweeters weren't as good before, but now I hear quite a bit more static on the same stations I could hear just fine in a 1994 Toyota. For those of you that went XM, which product did you choose and how did you hook up the power? Ryan |
