Friends: 0 | Does anyone have any negative issues about the V551, except for the phonebook single-entry transfer? I think I'm going to get it. I'm upgrading from a Nokia 3650, which I found too bulky, and the BlueTooth on it was just OK. One year ago I purchased the T616, but the audio quality was atrocious, although others didn't report a similar problem. The Nokia was much much better, but lately I feel like I have to repeat myself to everyone, so either the quality has declined or I was fooling myself in the first place. Anyhow, I'm hoping the V551 will improve audio quality for BT and be a little more compact than the current 3650. |

Friends: 0 | I got the V551 and it has been fantastic. The main problem with the phone is the atrocious power consumption issue. If you talk a fair amount on the phone (and don't charge it while in the car) it won't last a day. 7 hours of talk time is BS. I am wondering how to edit numbers once you've got them in the phonebook (one-at-a-time was a pain in the butt). If you have someone listed as "John Cell" it thinks Cell is their last name or something and lists it as "Cell John". I can't find a way to edit the entry once you've uploaded it. Any ideas? |

Friends: 0 | I got the Audiovox XV6600 Pocket PC from Verizon. I can confirm what I've read in some other threads, namely: 1. The car will connect with the phone 2. The Bluetooth signal indicator on the Prius display reads "Out Of Range" which prevents you from initiating any calls from the car; however, the car will assume control over any call initiated from the phone 3. Incoming calls will display on the Prius screen and cause the phone itself to ring; calls can be answered with the steering wheel controls 4. Contacts can be transferred one at a time, which turns out to be useless since you can't initiate calls from the car That's been my experience so far. The sound quality in my initial test was quite good. Too bad so much of the address book functionality is lacking. |

To transfer phone contact one by one thru V551 - set the Prius to Transfer Phone Book mode - Prius asks you to send contact from your phone - on your V551, go to your phone book and select one contact, hit menu button and select the "Send" option (at the end of list) Note, on the Prius questioning "Add" or "Overwrite", do use the "Overwrite" for the first contact. I ran into some strange behavior by slecting "Add" for the first contact. However, it may be just me. For subsequent contacts select "Add", of course. Hope this help. | |

Friends: 0 | Sony Ericsson T68i works fine, and will upload the entire phone book in one go. It's an old phone, but I haven't found anything better yet. Sony Ericsson P900 doesn't work. |

Friends: 0 | All the Motorola's from Cingular and former AT&T (V505, MPx220, V551, RAZR V3, V600, and V620) appear to work fine with the Prius. The radio shuts off when the call comes in. The sound is so good that the person on the other end has no clue you're in your car. Here are the only known problems with the Moto's: 1. Unable to upload entire phonebook, must do it one at a time. 2. If you have multiple entries, you will have to rename one of them before uploading, otherwise the Prius will only allow you to transfer one of them. For example: John Doe (listed as a mobile phone entry) John Doe (listed as a home phone entry) When I do this, the Prius only accepts the first entry and continues to add it multple times, so in the phone book, I have this: John Doe 5551212 John Doe 5551212 Verizon's V710 is a whole different story. If you can live with no audible ring and no ability to upload your phone book, then it should be fine.
