Friends: 0 | (I'll start off with a big thanks to Danny for all his hard work.) Do we have a firm (haha! "firm"! get it?!) answer -- from someone who has actually tried it -- on whether the new v710 firmware allows phonebook entries to uploaded at least one at a time? Still waiting for a CDMA bluetooth phone that works half way .... Marc |

Friends: 0 | Good question. I can get around the not loading phone book entries. I can use bluetooth on my laptop to load it. All I want is the damn ring when a call comes in. That's not asking too much is it? |

Friends: 0 | I just came back from the Verizon store in Bensalem, PA. It's one of the service centers. My V710 suddenly stopped all audio - no ring, no dial tone, no bluetooth. Anyway, I called and was told to bring it in for an exchange. I asked whether the new phone would have the 1.40 firmware, and was shown an email from Verizon that told all stores to stop flashing phones, as many had been "fried" during the process. No date was given for when they expect to resolve the problem. Lou |

Friends: 0 | I was told that they did not "have" the flash. I was told it had to arrive via snail mail and it had not arrived in Tacoma WA as yet. I frankly do not believe them. I cannot believe that in the 21st century they did not down load the Flash over the net. I think that they are lying again or is that yet. I have a question should we flash at all. If the flash does remove the ability to transfer items via the card would that decrease the value of the phone. |

There remains, however, the possibility of editing a seem to restore that functionality after having the official flash done. That has already been done successfully with the beta version and it might also work with the official release. | |
