Multi Information Screen Malfunction

Dear Fellow Prius Owners:

I'm attempting to save myself a visit to the dealer, save money, and save myself from my parents killing me if someone can help me figure out what is wrong with the multi information screen in my 2003 Prius. I've followed the instructions on how to clean it and blah, and out of the blue, the screen stopped responding to any touch. CLEARY it is a touch screen. The screen still accurately shows what's going on with the car - all is normal except that it won't respond to touch. Clean fingers, clean screen - hum?

I purchased the car in August 2004 from the Toyota Certified used cars thing. I love the car. I switched from an Escalade to this...kinda disapointing - I know, but I'm getting the 06 Lexus RX400 Hybrid. oooh

But yeah, please help me out!

Hate to say it, but you might be out of luck. You might be able to get another from salvage.

Eh, that's what I thought. I've made an appointment at the dealer. I hope its just a fuse or something. It still under warranty so that's cool.
