It's not that; it's just that I value life. The Integrities were okay for dry summer driving, but they were a hazard when it rained and a death wish in snow. Even with VSC the Prius was unmanageable at highway speeds in wet conditions.

I run Goodyear tires on my Jeep. Big snow tires, all year long. They work well, but scream like a banshee if you brake hard on dry pavement.

Well they are a summer tires[ maybe all season?]and in places that get rain on occasion road surfaces can get very slippery due to oil on the surface when it does rain. But any tire can be a hazard under these conditions! I am willing to bet that 99% of the unsatisfied people of the stock tire are not running 185/65/r15's as a replacement! I feel most people feel this tire is to small for the weight of a Prius and use this as a reason to up-grade!. Hal

Exactly. And if you had moved up to a better tire you would have felt, and heard the difference immediately.
At 20,000 miles my Integrities howled so loud it was ridiculous and if pumped up to 42 lbs hit really really hard. That is a very stiff sidewall tire which makes it a death trap in the rain or snow. There's so many complaints about those tires on this board its right there behind the stock battery in hits.
I have $62 Kumho's non lrr's and its like a new car.

I'm sure there are better tires out there, but I haven't had any bad experience like others have reported here.
When one's roof is another's floor who's to argue?

I bet both of you have your original batteries also.

FWIW, the stock Integrities are pretty crappy tires.

That said, too bad the OP isn't near me as I'd otherwise give him my extra Integrity (which has plenty of tread life left) for real cheap. If anyone who lives in or near San Jose wants it, let me know. I'd only want $3-5 for my time and gas...

It wasn't an original that came w/my car but rather one I bought when I had an unrepairable puncture and didn't want to have 3 of one model and 1 of another.
