strange "clicking"

Hi all.

Just curious here, has anyone heard a loud "clicking" sound from the LCD display? I never have, and I have 20,000 miles. My mom has 2,000 miles on hers, and she claims that there is an occasional LOUD clicking noise from the LCD. It doesn't make sense to me- there is nothing there to "click". She doesn't have the navigation, so I am lost on this!!

I have never heard a noise from an LCD display of any kind. Could she be hearing the coolant pump or the power brake pump? If the noise occurs while she is driving down the road it may need to be checked out to be sure it isn't a safety issue, a wheel bearing or a brake pad or something like that. Noises can sometimes fool you as to their source.

Jack is correct you will get better and more answers if this is in the main forum or the maintenance forum.

I'm not sure about a "click" but I have heard a loud pop (similar to the sound of glass cracking/breaking) on occasion. I'm not sure where this comes from, however.
