The lights that are on the roof under the front visor's do not work in my prius? Is there something I'm doing wrong, or should I bring the car to toyota to get it fixed? I think it might be a fuse or something, but I'm not sure.

There are two things involved here.

The Switch and the Mirror Cover.

If you have the Switch "ON" The light will come on when you open the mirror cover and go off when you close the mirror cover.

If you have the Switch "OFF" The light will never come on.

Note the key component though, the light will never come on unless the mirror cover is open.

Owner's Manual - Section 2-3 "Operation of Instruments and Controls" - "Vanity Mirrors" (page 100 in '04 Manual) gives a succinct explanation of the Vanity Mirror switches.

Lots of helpful information in the Owner's Manual.
