Friends: 4 | Not sure why my mpg is higher than what I am reading here. I just bought my Prius 3 weeks ago (and loving every minute of it). Right now I avg. 49.5 mpg. |

Friends: 0 | I bought mine in Feb 08. I was ave. 48 MPG in the winter. April in May I am getting 53. Part of the increase is do to the warmer weather. I live in the Boston area but also I am coasting a lot more and I am coasting without regeneration being done. This allow for much longer coasting and you maintain you spend for longer. I also start off slower and and think ahead more. I guess you could say I have learned how to drive my Prius. I love it Mark |

Also is there a newbie link for checking the oil level? Also is there additional information on why this is important right from the get go with the Prius? This might be in the owners manual but I am on a business trip at the moment. Thank you so much for the fantastic forum! | |
