Friends: 0 | I have only had my new Prius for one day, but have already noticed all the fingerprints on the touch screen. I was wondering if there way to clean it, such as using a specific cleaner. Not sure if I am posting this question correctly or in the right area, since this is my first posting and just my second day at priuschat. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Friends: 0 | funny thing is I just cleaned the wife's mfd this morning as it was all covered with FP's and I used a microfiber mitt just for using to do that. Any microfiber towl or like this a mitt just polish them away. Make sure the car is off when you do it to avoid resetting any thing on the screen and don't press too hard. Just make sure what ever you use is grit free to avoid scratching the screen. |

Friends: 60 | Welcome to PriusChat, cegal01, and congratulations on your new car. Frank's suggestion is a great one. I keep a microfiber cloth in my center console for cleaning the screen, the plastic lens over the odometer and dash indicators, and the radio's plastic. If it's really grungy (eating french fries while entering a destination...) you can mist the cloth with Endust for Electronics (not regular Endust) or something similar, and then wipe. Even clean hands leave fingerprints. |

Friends: 0 | I recommend klear screen at www.KlearScreen.com. I have been using it for several years on my computers and eyeglasses. Works great. I buy in bulk. Also Pentel makes an eraser “pen” I use the eraser to touch the screen and keep finger prints off. Works well I will post a picture when I get home. |

Friends: 0 | Wear driving gloves. Then the steering wheel stays clean also. |

Friends: 0 | I remember looking up how to clean an LCD flat-screen monitor when I got one. The advice was to stay away from chemicals, just use water and a "lint-free" rag for cleaning and drying. I guess a microfiber cloth would fall into that category. I hate to admit that I use a sock...wet one end, and dry with the other end. My socks are pretty much lint-free, but I hate that feeling of wearing wet socks, so I don't clean it very often. Works really well, though, food spots, finger prints, dust and all. And it doesn't attract any more dust than it would normally get in our house. Don't see why that wouldn't work on the MFD as well. -Roger |
