Friends: 0 | Hi everyone, Does anyone have one of the black rear bumper protectors on their Prius? I just bought an OEM one off of eBay. The seller seems to be solid (100% positive feedback) and the item itself is the OEM Toyota one. I was just wondering how this protector goes on the rear bumper... is it a screw-on affair or merely adhesive? I will be receiving mine in a few days and was a little curious as to what to expect. It looks like it will just be one of those "stick-on" guards, but I figured I'd ask regardless and find out what others thought of it and what your experiences were with it. Is it a good fit? If it is a stick-on, does it leave a gap between the bumper and the guard (which would cause build-up of dirt and what not in between)? I will be moving in a week or so and will be using my Prius as a work-horse, so this bumper protector will be here in the nick of time for me. |

Friends: 22 | Its a stick on type. I have one but its not installed yet. I had my dealer install the clear bumper protector. I'm still deciding on weather I should install the black one or not. I might install it over the clear one. I just dont know yet. |

Friends: 26 | we have a black protector. we love it, we've put some huge gouges in the protector that i can only imagine would have made our bumper look awful without it... it is a stick-on thing. best way to do it is to use a highly volatile cleaner on the bumper area first, to get rid of any residues that might interfere with a good contact. i'm sure there's dust built up underneath it but the bumper is plastic so there's no worry about rusting or anything. |

Friends: 0 | I have it also. It might say Corolla or Matrix on the back side, just so you know. I put a piece of tape on the top and measured and marked the middle and then lined up the mark with the hatchback latch on the floor. I also have the Weathertech cargo liner in black so the two look good together. |
