Friends: 0 | When I put the car into reverse tonight, the MFD screen instantly switched to show the view from the back-up camera. I looked away from the MFD to use the rear view mirrors as I backed the car into the garage. When I looked back a few seconds later, I found that the MFD had switched to the "consumption" screen, even though the car was still in reverse. Shouldn't the MFD show the backup camera at all times when the car is in reverse? |

If you use any functions on the MFD...audio,climate, etc...after already being in reverse, the camera does not come back on (and if you have it so it automatically switches back to the consumption/energy screen from the climate/audio controls, it could have done this). Also if you get a bluetooth call or engage forced EV mode it will also turn the camera off. My bet is that you accidentally hit a button on the steering wheel while already in reverse.

Friends: 0 | I watched carefully over the weekend and my experience confirms the insights of mssmith95 and darelldd above. I've had no more mysterious disappearances of the backup camera. Thanks for your help. |
