I came down a long hill today and the battery went to full charge, and then it turned from blue to green, is that normal?

yep the top 2 bars turn the display green, from 3-6 they're blue and the bottom 2 are pink.

no need to worry.

Perfectly normal like Galaxee said. Another thing you may have noticed with your all-green battery was the ICE running or starting and stopping frequently (on-off-on-off). That's normal too. When the battery gets a little over-charged, from going down a hill like you did, it may burn the excess by spinning the ICE without gas or spark.

Cool car, isn't it?

Why would it spin the ICE when going down hill?

To get rid of the excess charge! Read carefully!

Spinning the ICE without gas or spark uses energy from the HV Battery. This lowers the charge of the HV battery to an optimal level. When you go down a long hill and your battery indicator shows all green, additional energy can not be stored safely (for the battery life), so excess energy generated through regenerative braking is sent to the ICE and wasted compressing air. If it's a really long hill, like coming down a mountain, at some point regenerative braking will stop and the brakes will act like any car's friction brakes. This is where B mode can help save your brakes some.

Hope this helps.

If they ever turn black, start worrying.
