I'm having trouble cleaning my windshield. Every time I do it I get streaking. I think what I'm doing wrong is using paper towels for the cleanup. So I just got special towels and Invisible Glass cleaner. Any suggestions as to how to correct this problem? FishHawk

You might use crumpled newspaper with your glass cleaner.

most newspaper nowadays use Soy ink or a dervitive and it causes streaks. Most paper towels use a clay based absorbant embeded into the paper it also causes streaks. Best is a micro-fiber towel and turn it frequently. When you wash the towel use a dish detergent as most laundry detergents use brightners and they can cause streaking. Also don't dry your micro-fiber towel in your dryer as most people use dryer sheets to soften their clothes and towels, and it can causes streaking. I've had good results with Stoner Invisible Glass or my current favorite RAIN-X Glass Cleaner and clean micro-fiber towels.

I'll second the recommendation for Invisible Glass and micro-fiber towels. Since starting to use this combination last year I've never had cleaner windows.

Cheers,

A fourth for Invisible Glass and microfiber cloths. I tried the newspaper thing, but I guess the Orlando Sentinel uses some streaky ink.

After about 1½ years of struggling to accomplish a really CLEAN windshield (and the other glass) even using "Invisible Glass" spray and trying newspaper, paper towels ,etc. I finally bought the "Glass Wizard" semi-triangular pad on a 14" handle which has two micro-fiber covers and an additional nylon net cover to help clean bugs and the like. This device, together with "Invisible Glass" spray get me absolutely crystal-clear glass.

The only source for the "Glass Wizard" I've found is ordering online [Google "Glass Wizard"]. It makes cleaning the inside of the windshield and the hatch glass much, much easier to clean what with its swiveling head and microi fiber cover. As I recall, I paid $9.95 plus shipping for the "Glass Wizard." I just throw the micro-fiber cover into my wash after its use. And..NO.. I do not work for Glass Wizard or Invisible Glass.

It's been posted before that Bed, Bath, and Beyond carries the Glass Wizard in-store. I can confirm this is correct as I picked up a couple more this weekend.
