What does everyone use to clean the MFD ? Fingerprints fudge it up pretty quickly. I didn't want to try anything in fear of scratching so figured I would ask the question here.

I didn't see it in the manual unless I overlooked it.

Thanks!

I use a soft cloth and a little water. I know some have other things they use, but I haven't had any problems with this way.

I use an auto swiffer for dust, and for dusting all the plastic inside the Prius. For fingerprints and more serious cleaning of the MFD, I use a cleaning kit made for notebook computers and LCD displays. It has a brush, applicator, and a spray bottle with cleaning solution. You can get them at BestBuy and other computer stores. Make sure to clean it when the car is off, or temporarily turn off the display, otherwise the touch screen will make all sorts of selections.

A slighly damp microfibre cloth cleans just about anything without damaging it. Never spray liquid directly on the MFD screen.

I'd like to also recommend cleaning and treating all the plastic with 303 Aerospace Protectant which makes dusting and cleaning it easier.

I have a screen protector on mine. I clean it with the same product I use on my laptop screen.

Recently I rented a Prius that had some major smudges and prints on the screen that would not come off with the screen cleaner. With the car off I cleaned it with Meguiar's PlastX and it worked great. Looked good as new. (I also use it on the plastic cupholders are under radio area.) Once is fine but I wouldn't do it repeatedly.

If a damp cloth doesn't do it, I'd use the laptop screen cleaner and then put a protector on it on it.

I keep a small microfiber cloth [like used to clean eyeglasses] in the small storage nook below the MFD for cleaning the MFD.

HINT: I don't clean the MFD with the Prius "ON" - to avoid inadvertantly pressing "buttons" - as in resetting the mile readings, etc.
