Ok, I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seems to me that my engine revs a lot more than it used to, which wasn't even that long ago. Based on my MPG it wouldn't seem so, but I do hypermile so I could be getting better as it gets worse, but IDK. I can post a sound file of it if that would help. It's worse when the engine is cold, but that's a given since it has to use more gas. Anyways, it doesn't seem normal to me, but I'm no car guy.

Also, as I've posted before, but since I'm making this thread and never got a definitive answer on my old one I'll ask, I seem to have some vibration, and noise, coming from the front. I'd assume something with the wheel since it vibrates more as I speed up. It's not even noticeable unless you have the radio off and it's really quite. Seems to get worse as you turn right as well. From what I've read it's probably a CV joint, but I'll let some of the experts give an opinion.

Well, that's all the info I think I need to give. So thanks for the help.

Ohh, if I don't have it in my sig I have an '02 Prius with about 45k miles on it. Done two oil changes since about 33k-34k miles. Used synthetic on the latest change, and did the first oil change at the recommended mileage since that was when I got the car used. Had it since October, I believe, of last year. That seems to be it.

You may have already eliminated other possibilities, but where the sound is coming from can be quite deceptive. At least it is to me. Yesterday I was convinced I had a dash rattle, only to discover that it was coming from a bottle in my cup holder. The rear one just in front of the center console.
