MFD not covered under extended warranty?

Hi guys,

First post yay me!

Okay so I'm posting for my dad. He owns a Prius 2004, he was in love with the car, raving about it to everyone bla bla bla until his MFD stopped working. MFG warranty is now expired but he bought the extended warranty when he purchased the car back in 2004. He's now very upset to hear that this issue is not covered under the extended warranty.

I searched on the board about this topic and saw that it should be covered. Does it exist different level of protection? I clearly understand that brakes, clutches and stuff like that is not covered but the MFD...Ugh.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Sorry for my English, I speak mostly French. The car was bought in Toyota St-Eustache, Quebec, Canada.

Twon, do a search on MFD failure, and you should get a few threads regarding this issue. In fact, check out this thread.
