Friends: 0 | Alright, So I noticed that my Prius' air is coming out quite warm. I have had cars before so I figured that is was the freon (I know it's not real freon but that is what I am calling it). I bought the air recharge hose and a can, however, i cannot locate the nozzle to plug the hose into. I know that the Prius is basically a space ship so it's not like a normal car. Anyway, I digress; how do I locate the nozzle. Any information would be awesome |

Friends: 7 | With a 2006 Prius I'm doubting you need to "recharge" your A/C refrigerant unless there's a leak, in which case you should maybe take it in for repair rather than just recharge and assume everything's OK after topping it off. It may still be under warranty too. |

Friends: 26 | fyi, you can't just get a kit from your local auto parts store, as that contains oil you do not want. you need PURE 134 with no oils or sealers or anything. as to the location of the nozzle... i can't answer that at this particular second, as the fountain of prius tech knowledge is asleep. |

Friends: 26 | apparently you can only get pure 134 in cylinders, or via a recharge machine. not a DIY job. the two lines have gray caps on them, one is L and the other is H. one's on the passenger side with a sensor plugged into it, on an aluminum block. the other one is approximately in the middle of the engine compartment between the engine and inverter, toward the front. |

Friends: 0 | Yes, the whole system is completely sealed with an enclosed electric drive motor; if it needs more refrigerant then it has a leak somewhere. Take it to a dealer to get it repaired under warranty. *Don't* try to fill it yourself! You will ruin it, and it won't be under warranty. |
