AC maintenance question

hello all,

i've read before that an air conditioning system should be run for at least 30 minutes at least once a month to keep it in good shape. something about the freon?

i can't remember if i read this about the prius or if this only applies to other/older cars with non-electric ac.

any help appreciated.

This hoary advice applies to Prius-toric cars with an ICE-powered compressor. Your Prius' AC is electric. Set the temperature you like, leave it on AUTO, and forget it...
