Friends: 0 | I've been doing a lot of work on the car doors, floor, hatch, etc., which means keeping the doors open for long extended periods of time. Seeing how easily the 12V battery gets run down, I've decided to permanently disconnect the door lights (the ones on the bottom of the front doors) and switch the rear hatch light to OFF mode. I've also turned all the dome light switches to OFF; if I ever need interior lighting (rarely) I just turn the dome lights on and off manually. Inside the hatchbox, I've stuck a sticky LED to the bottom of its plastic lid so that when I open it up I have some light to work with, but when the lid is closed the LED is hidden away. Now I never have to worry about draining the battery due to a door that's not completely closed. |
