I could have sworn that somewhere, I read that if all the segments
of the fuel gauge start blinking when the gauge assembly is powered
up, that means there's data network trouble of some sort. But I
cannot for the life of me find the reference. Anyone got it handy?
I was messing around in a slightly newer car yesterday that had the
MFD removed, and the gas gauge was doing what almost seemed like a
blink code -- blink blink, .... blink blink, ... blink blink, ...
.

I think it means you need to have your eyes tested.

well i can tell you how i got my Prius to do it. just leave the plug disconnected when installing the EV switch.
