More info please. Whats the state of tune? Last tune-up. Last coolant flush? Hows the miles on the belts?
How well have you taken care of the car?
With that kind of mileage your probably due for a water pump especially if you haven't kept up coolant flushes. The death of the water pump starts out with a bad bearing on the impeller and there's a weep hole under the bearing area thats starts weeping coolant as the bearing wears out. Causes loss of coolant gradually. Bet you've been smelling anti-freeze lately.Get that checked as a bad pump will leave you at the most in opportune time not to mention overheat the motor as we have no temp gauge.

Can you turn on the ventilation fan and adjust the speed? I'm trying to figure out whether the problem is with your MFD, or with the HVAC system itself.
