Extended Warranty - 2005 Prius

Hi All, the dealer offered me a 36k mi / 3 yr (whichever is less) 5 star comprehensive (bumper-bumper) warranty through GE Warranty Services for $1995. That should cover my prius from 58k mi to 94k mi over the next 1.5 - 2 yrs. Will I spend $2000 over the next 2 yrs with that mileage, or should I cancel my warranty or look for a better deal? Your advice is greatly appreciated.

If you look at waranty offers in state of Massachusetts you will see they are under $1000-- same contract..

IMO that is high. Cancel the contract & invest the money yourself. Odds are that if something does fail it will cost less than 2 grand.

Same boat, Finnski. I just worked out a deal on an '05 Prius with 66,000 miles. I have the option of a 3/36,000 warranty for just under $2000. Any advice?

What did you end up doing? Any problems to date?
