Total noob leather cleaning question

Alright I did a search and couldn't find this out there. I am ready for the ridicule and mockery, but I am not a car guy who knows anything so be kind.

I have had my Prius with the leather seats for about 8 months now. I have been cleaning the leather and treating it like I should, but I have a concern or question on that. As everyone knows there is the little pin holes in the seat of the leather. How do you apply the cleaner/conditioner on the seat without it getting clotted in those pin holes. I know, I know yuck it up, but really - I guess I am missing the obvious.

I of course do not glob it on that part, but even if I start on the solid surface and work it over to that area it still tends to clump in the dumb little holes.
