Default Clean Plastic Cover over Dash Display

Is it easy to remove the clear plastic covering over the dash display? Right where the speedometer is, there seemed to be a bit of moisture that built up underneath the plastic, resulting in a foggy look late at night when the light from the LCD shines through. I was wondering if I would have to take apart the whole dash to do this and if that would be a very time consuming job. Thanks.

It might be from the mirror rather than the clear plastic. It's easy to smudge the area on the flat part of the dash when cleaning the windshield.

What do you exactly mean by this? How would the mirror get smudged if it is enclosed under the flat plastic part?

I should have said the lens covering the display projector on the flat portion of the dash.
