Default Special scredriver for replacing fob batteries

I have a 2005 Prius with two fobs. I believe I need new batteries. Where can I get the special scrrwdriver that is needed, apart from a dealer?

The definitive sign of needing a new fob battery is when the little red light no longer lights when you press a button on the fob. There's nothing special about the required screwdriver except that it's small. Lots of hardware stores and Radio Shack have them, singly or in sets.

The screw driver for the eye glasses works fine.

Many thanks, all! Your help is much appreciated. I have found a v small screwdriver (not that I need it at the moment). I thought I required a Philips type due to the cross shape of the slots in the crew heads.

Indeed, while you may be able to make an eye-glass screw drive work, I think it's worth buying an inexpensive set of jewelers screw-drivers/tools. A phillips type will be much more sure and easy to use here and you'll probably find a multitude of other times to use them as well. FWIW, some computer repair kits include a screw driver of that type as well and then you've got some thing to use for minor computer work too.

Or, to save money, most hardware stores sell those a la carte for < $2.

To save even more money, I asked the clerk at the Radio Shack store for a jeweler's screwdriver and changed out the batteries right in the store.

Phillips #0 works for me* - there's a 'bit' in my multi-bit set (screwdriver body with replaceable heads). Cost £4 ten years ago - was discounted from £8.

* not smart-key

"Jeweller's" screwdriver sets normally have #0 and two sizes smaller of Phillips-head driver called #00 and #000.
