Question Front jack point sheet metal wavy?

Just looked at the front and rear jack points. The rear ones looked nice and straight but the front ones looked wavy and messy. See pic below. Is this normal?

Good question. I have never done it and it has never been in the shop since I bought it new. I suppose the new car dealer where I bought it from could have jacked it up for some reason.

There are 2 layers of steel in the back but 4 layers of steel in the front as panels meet there, and it adds strength to allow for the weight of the engine etc. I wouldn't be worried about it.

You might want to check out this thread where we discuss the proper methods and equipment for lifting the Prius.

Jacking / Lifting points on your Prius

The Toyota manuals recommend using rubber blocks to protect the flange. I made a set from some rubber blocks that I found at a surplus store.
