Default 1st oil change Q

Hi all,
I have a question about oil change.
When(how many miles) and which brand?
Is Toyota dealer oil change worht it? or JiffyLube will be ok?

jiffy lube will be fine. make sure to tell them to not overfill. they actualy use the quart containers (helps to keep them from overfilling).. but remember 3.5 quarts.

5k miles for each change. you can do first as early as 1 or 2k if you really want to. just to clean out the engine.

oh yeah.. if not done at toyota, keep receipts so you can prove it was changes x amount of miles.

Also tell them the car uses 5W-30, not 10W-30 like most cars.

Keep your receipts whether you go to Toyota (they should keep records anyway), Jiffy lube, or even if you DIY. Toyota will want some proof that you have kept it maintained if you ever have a problem.. Comes in handy when the factory guy asks for proof, :wink:
