Friends: 0 | There have been several posts about good dealerships for buying a Prius, but how about good dealerships for getting your Prius serviced? I had a good buying experience with Fitzgeralds in Gaithersburg MD, but the service has been less than stellar. I won't go into details here (you can PM me if you want), but I would like to find a dealership that at least appears to know how to work on the Prius. |

Friends: 0 | Howdy, Are you familiar with the term “oxymoron”? “Dealer Service” is on top of my oxymoron list! I have been screwed by every dealer I tried to work with (the one I bought the car from, the one in my community and the nearest one outside of my community)! I’ve left detailed letters relating to the service I want preformed, dealt with managers and owners and appealed to all of the corporate customer support escalation services; all to no avail! Personally, I go to a dealer only at the absolutely last resort. I’m no longer angry or bitter, I just don’t trust them or expect them to do anything that takes any effort on their behalf. I think that Internet car buying is picking up because there is no reason to purchase a car for anything other than the best price. Certainly my local dealers do not deserve any loyalty (or Toyota/Lexus for that matter)!

Friends: 26 | My husband does all our basic maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, alignment checks etc), but it anything should ever need looking at by a Prius tech, he would have none other than Peter at Mark Jacobson Toyota (Durham NC) work on it. A real nice guy and he knows what he's doing. |
