Solutions for license Plate rattle upon closing rear hatch?

Rattles bother me and there is one I cannot figure out how to eliminate. When closing the rear hatch door (as if there were any other hatch door!!), the license plate rattles.

Has anyone a suggested fix for this?

Any ideas are much appreciated.

I picked up a small roll of weatherstriping from the hardware store and attached a 10" strip to the bottom of the plate. Voila! No rattles. Cost was about $2.00.

I bought a package of little rubber/silicone/neoprene "feet" for electronic stuff from Radio Shack. Stuck on at each corner of the license plate, then reinstalled. The feet don't hold water and they keep the entirety of the metal plate off the paint of the Prius rear.

I also went with the "feet." Quick to install, cost all of $1-2 at Ace Hardware, and no rattles.

My solution:

Double sided Scotch bran mounting tape available at hardware stores.

I used the doublestick tape as well. I also put on some weatherstriping. I like the feet idea.
