Friends: 16 | Hi all, I'm pleased to report that a Japanese Prius driver, Slipper@Osaka, achived 2,349 km/tank (1,460 miles)!!! The computer mileage is 41.4 km/L, 97.4 mpg. The previous record was 1,456 miles/tank achieved by Teddy_Girl. http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=23380&hl= His basic technique is the Pulse and Glide. His home road is relatively flat, two lanes and some signal stops. Please note that Japanese Prius tank has no bladder and can hold up to 60 liters, 15.9 US gallons. Ken@Japan |

Friends: 33 | WOW. That's a distance roughly from New York City to about the middle of Nebraska. (Lincoln was too short and Denver was too far) |

Friends: 7 | Well, as ken mentioned, no bladder and bigger tank, so they do have some advantage. Still, 97.4mpg is impressive. Not gonna happen on my terrain though, so for everyone who's been waiting for me to break the world record, I officially give up as of now. |

Friends: 31 | They don't have a bigger tank though. It's the same 45 litre tank (or so it's officially listed). The reason that they can fill more is because the rear left side of the car is raised. |

Friends: 0 | What about national records? I claim the UK record at 537 miles per tank The furthest I've ever driven on one tank of fuel - by a slim margin. Computer said 59.4 mpg. |
