I got 48 MPG my last tank. Since then, it's snowed here and been in the high 20s. I've gone 210 miles and have 4 bars left.

I hear ya, mate. I'm struggling to get 50 MPG on this tank with my regular driving patterns. I got up to 55 MPG with one long trip in city traffic but the next day we had a substantial snow storm and traffic on my regular commute was horrid. I ended up loosing what I had gained. It has warmed up again so hopefully that'll help.

Aren't you glad your previous vehicle didn't have a Multi-Display?

Not knowing (ignorance) really is bliss.

I think most people intuitively know, or should know, that MPG go down in the winter. My Bonneville didn't have one and I could tell I got worse mileage. Still even with it going down, it's nice to know what it is.

True. But few ever crunch the numbers like the hoards of people who put Prius under a microscope.

There is definitely a heightened awareness associated with Prius.

My CAN-View has added even another layer to my "lack of ignorance"....this morning I literally saw my ICE temp drop from 157 degrees to 132 degrees during a single glide period of about 1/2-3/4 mile....the ICE started up while I was stopped, after a glide, solely to warm the ICE...very odd and frustrating after working hard with the glide to push the mileage up....

Gotta find a way to keep the ICE from cooling down....

First time in a long while, I'm under 50mpg into the tank. First bar disappeared at 110kms. Yikes!

[attachmentid=5532]if this is winter gas bring it on as I just pulled down the best tank ever in my Classic. 4.4 liters per hundred for 740 km that works out to 53.4 mpg US for 460 miles. 64.2 imperial gallon. I love this car!

pssh you and your block heater :P .. are you using a winter front as well or one of those that minimise heat loss from the engine?
