You have to have a start point where you know the tank is full for the sheet to work, in summary. Hope that helps and glad you like the spreadsheet. | |

Friends: 0 | Thank you so much for the spreadsheet. I was looking for a way to record all this information. I just filled up last week. My 1st time since getting the car more than 3 weeks ago. The dealer filled the tank before I got there. This will give me a good idea on the money my Prius is saving me. I stepped up from a F250 diesel. Much cheaper this way, I love my Prius. |

Friends: 0 | Makes total sense. Thanks again for the spreadsheet. I screwed up today on the first fill up and put $40 in thinking it wouldn't take the whole 40, it did, so I had to go put another 20 in, I pumped it and it stopped right away..so not knowing if it stopped because it was full, I continued pumping and BAM, it overflowed out on the side of my car! I was pissed! I'm also banking that it was completely full when it was filled up from the dealer, It looked full. Another Question for you..what is MPG (US) and MPG (IMP). I'm assuming that MPG (IMP) is what the car should tell me but its off by .11.(less than what the car says) Take care, Natty |

Friends: 0 | Hi Natty, "MPG US" is US gallons (~3.78litres) whereas MPG (IMP) is imperial gallons ~4.6 litres. Enjoy your new wheels and congrats, Natty |

Friends: 0 | Prius 07, Thanks for that info. Man, so I'm off approx 8 MPG between calculated MPG and computer in the prius MPG. Is that normal to be that off on the first tank? I guess I can't be sure that the dealer had it filled ALL the way up. Since I barfed my first fill up, I'll know more 2 more fill ups down the road. Natty |

Friends: 0 | Thank you very much. I have been using another spreadsheet program somone had posted last year and it also does a lot, but I like your program, because I don't have to input as much and still get great results, but the one thing that the other program did, that is real neat and I am wondering if you could possibly impliment it into your spreadsheet. The one thing I know everyone likes to know is just how much they are saving compared to the gas hog they got rid of when they bought the awesome gas SIPPING wonder. The program I had been using allowed you to plug in what you use to get as a base MPG. I had a Honda van that got 20mpg. The program would show how much it would cost if I was using the Honda, then a running total savings. So far after 9 months I have saved $923.71. Example: when I put in 4.476 galons of gas at $3.239 per gallon, it cost me $14.50, but in the honda at 20 mpg it would have cost me $ 37.64 to fill up. Have no idea how it is done. Just a thought. But thanks what you have done. Richard123 |

Friends: 0 | Hello Priusuk2008, I just got my Prius 3 weeks ago, and was recording the fill-ups in a notepad. The spreadsheet you developed keeps a great track record for consumption. Thank you for sharing the sheet. By the way do they still have steak and kidney pies? Based in Brize Norton 4 years. |
