auto - dimming rear view mirror as accessory

Perhaps many of you already know this, but, while talking to my dealer this morning I asked why the auto-dimming rearview mirror was available as an accessory with pkg #1, but, not available as an accessory if you buy pkg #3 or #4.

I really wanted this feature but I also wanted pkg #4. Apparently according to the sales rep it has something to do with the wiring needs of pkg #3 and #4. They are not able to "add" this accessory to the wiring configuration already in Pkg #3 & #4.

Since I can't get pkg #3, #4 or #5 in PA it is no longer a factor in my decision - but, I thought the information might be helpful to others.

yep, dealers won't install this accessory in an airbag-equipped vehicle... wire has to go too close to an already-installed airbag
