Locking the area just above the spare tire storage

I'd like to be able to actually lock the storage area just above the spare tire since there is no locking glove box or trunk. Currently there are two little twist levers that don't actually lock the area, but just secure the carpetted top over the spare tire storage area. Has anyone replaced these 2 little twist levers with actual locks?

I thought about adding a camlock, which would cost about $5. The reason I didn't was that I figured that if you had a screwdriver you'd be able to break the lid.
