Will a Britax Marathon Car Seat fit?

As far as I know it's not possible to use the LATCH to install a carseat in the middle. There're 2 LATCH attachments, one on either side (not the middle). While it may appear you can attach it in the middle and just use the nearest LATCH attachment, that's a no-no.

While PriusChat is fabulous for Prius-specific information, you might want to pose your question to the carseat mavens at http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppcarseats/. Rear facing is--without question--safer. One of our daughters remained rear facing until near her 3rd birthday; the other was about 2.5 yrs. They may give you flack, but hold strong! You're doing the right thing!

When my younger daughter grew out of her Marathon just shy of her 5th birthday, we got a Graco Nautilus. She's still in a 5-point seat which will convert to a high-backed booster and then a backless booster when she's old enough (like, say, 27 LOL!).

How does the Marathon fit rear facing?

We took our 2006 Prius to the store yesterday and put the Marathon in the car rear-facing behind the passenger seat and the seat had to be all the way forward. Since I'm 5'8" and my husband is 6'3", we need the seats to go back to the second to the last setting.
