Friends: 0 | Yesterday I parked my Prius on Shelter Island, San Diego, just across the channel from Naval Air Station North Island. When I got out I found the fob would not lock the car. When I tried to restart the car I found the SKS would not work, I had to inset the fob in order to start the car. After leaving the area everything returned to normal. My only conclusion is that the Navy is emitting some powerful radiation that interferes with the Prius. Has anyone else had similar experiences? |

Friends: 0 | Don't think it is just the Navy, check out this old post about the same thing happening on Mt Wilson and check your owners manual. http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=4554&hl= |

Friends: 0 | I work on NAS North Island (just across the bay, for those unfamiliar) and, occasionally, my key fob will not work. Sometimes, it won't work on my wife's GMC, either. I think it is simply radio interference from the airport surveillence radar and TACAN. |

Friends: 0 | Some one posted a year or two ago about their car going dead near Area 51. They are out there. According to Pogo "We have meet the enemy and they are us" ! Watch out for the Black Helicopters. Keep your aluminium foil armor on tight and always drive in "Stealth" mode. They can't see you in "Stealth" mode. |

Friends: 0 | Yeah happened to me here on Ft. Bliss where the ADA uses the radars sometimes for training. It must wreak havoc with garage door openers also in the area. It would not let me shut down the car until I put the fob in the keyhole. It has only happened to me 2-3 times and both at the same place. |
