I recently had my 20K tune-up including new air filters including the $20 cabin filter, but my cabin air stinks. The smell reminds me of old gym shoes... not a pleasant odor by any means. I have checked for dead rodents or anything unusual under the hood, but nothing.

My parents have a 2006 and no problems with their air, but wondered if anybody else lost that new car sent and living with something fishy?

Threre are a lot of threads here about it. Either it's junk clogging the fresh air intakes, or mold growing on the AC coils.

Or the condensate drain is plugged. Suspect this if you never see water dripping out from the engine compartment when the A/C is running. A dealer can check/fix that possibility in about one minute with compressed air.
