There's a little finger catch and it slides forward! Make sure that the forward cup holder is closed.

I must be having a bad dexterity morning, even with the forward cup holder closed it is smooth as a baby's bottom. I'll try again after a shower LOL

Reach down closer to the floor in front of the console.

To open the drawer, lift it slightly as you slide it open.

Folks, my fiancee will thank you. She put some lottery tickets in the cupholder a few weeks ago and they slipped between the cracks into the console's nether regions. Maybe now I can retrieve them.

If one's a winner, maybe she'll give you a cut.

The whole front faceplate of that center console comes off with
relatively little effort and no tools, which will help greatly in
any item-retrieval efforts under the cupholders. There's an
intermediate platform of plastic which collects all the crumbs,
coins, and coffee, and gets pretty disgusting.

I'm not sure which draws a stronger gut reaction: the comparison of the console to a baby's butt or the thought of your naked butt in the shower.

I just wanted to share those mental images with everyone else.
Good luck sleeping tonight!

LOL ... Oh' come on Tony, you couldn't squeeze the manual dexterity into your mental image.

NO, NO, NO, don't you dare go there!

EDIT: this is a family forum
