The rough translation from the page it was on is "Wagon variation of pre-mortar* trim level X"

*"pre-mortar" could be "pre-us" in Japanese...

It doesn't exist in the US, that's for sure. At first, I thought it was radically different, but now I think that it looks like the standard Prius but the hatch starts declining later.

The shape of the rear doors' glass are different, more square, but it's pretty close to the Prius we all know and love. I'd like to hear more about the minicar variant.

With Toyota committed to selling one million hybrids worldwide, Toyota is considering expanding its Prius into a full line of body-styles, which could include a wagon and minicar. Jim Lentz, Toyota’s executive vice president of the company’s U.S. sales unit, has mentioned that the U.S. market will account for half of the expected one million sales.[/b]

I went to Toyota.com and used the 3D thingy to put a Prius in the same position. Where's what I came up with:

In my opinion, this is a mock-up. I'd have to see more than one picture to be convinced that it's an actual production vehicle. Also, it looks to me that the front and rear wheels are exactly identical. Look at the shiny bits.

err.. it's a fake one. You can see him add the "wagon" roofline to other US cars such as the Camry, the Echo and the US Corolla.

For one thing, all his conversions have a dip in the roof lol.

Ok, so it's a mockup... but if the G3 wagon looks anything like that, preferably with a slightly more agressive front end (ok, maybe a more agressive look all around) and shorter headlights, I'm sold 10 times over.

This would be my ideal next car. My wife needs a new car in a couple of years and with to large dog already and probably a kid in our future the standard Prius is a little small. A wagon version of the Prius would be ideal as it would allow the dogs enough space behind the rear seat (it's a little to low today)
