Paint Color

The 04/05 silver is Millennium Silver Metallic.
06+ is Classic Silver Metallic.

Classic Silver is definitely more silvery and brighter than MSM, which is toned down a bit.

We have an 07 in Classic Silver. I have been comparing it with the silver on other brands of auto and have come to the conclusion that the Silver on the Prius is somehow brighter or more lively with not so much grey. To my eye the Silver Prius stands out even when it is cloudy.

Each time I drive the Prius I am thankful for the automobile.

The '05 and the '06 silver colors are different. I have an silver '05 Prius and my father has a silver '06 Prius. They were side by side last month and I noticed that the '05 silver has a slightly olive tint to it when compared to the '06 silver. You would never notice it if they weren't side by side and I couldn't decide which I liked better.

You should see it after a Zaino treatment. Just one coat so far of Z2 and wow does it shine! Pics to come, maybe tomorrow after the second coat. I can see the rafters inmy garage reflecting off the roof as though it were glass.

Can you see the difference? One's Classic, one's Millenium, both are Zaino'd.
