Haven't been posting much lately but I'm still racking up the miles and checking in. I thought I'd make a post to honor Sparky's 3rd birthday.

95,440 miles. No breakdowns. Only repair ($2,000) was due to hitting a coyote at 75 mph (75 was the speed limit). Total maintenance: changed out the cabin air filter, engine air filter and all wiper blades. Original brakes still look good.

1,856 gallons of gas burned. 1,540 gallons of gas saved compared to a Dodge Neon, the perfectly good car I dumped to get my Prius. That's a savings of $3,585.00. ($16,000 compared to a 10 mpg vehicle).

Lifetime average is currently 51.2 mpg but has ranged between 50.5 and 51.7, lowest in March, highest in November due to seasonal temperatures.

Best tank was 60.5 mpg, worst was 39.0 - due to cold, high wind and snow over a few days (350 miles).

19 oil changes. Mobil 1 full synthetic 5W30.

OEM tires lasted 53,400 miles and were replaced with Michelin Hydroedges. OEMs still loooked like they had another 10,000 miles, but I changed out at the start of winter to be safe. I run 44 lbs in the front and 42 in the rear, and the OEMs had even treadwear.

To sum up: this is by far the best car I have ever owned, the easiest to maintain, the cheapest to operate, and it has given me no problems at all. If only it could carry my camper...

Thanks for posting this! It's good to get updates from veteran Prius owners. I admit one of the things that almost deterred me from getting a Prius was there relatively short track record here in the US. If it wasn't made by Toyota (or maybe Honda) I wouldn't have taken the chance on one.

Man, and I thought 77100 miles at 3.5 years was high. Way to go!
