Does anyone know if a Cadillac Northstar 4.6L engine will fit in the Prius? I was planning on using the F.A.S.T. EFI standalone unit and close to stock power level (300 hp). I was going to fabricate my own mount system since there are probably no kits available yet.

Why would you want to slow down the Prius by doing that???? Go and put that Cadillac and your Mustang together (a previous post) and race to the dump with it - best of luck.

After you do all that, transport it to the local city dump there in Ann Arbor and dispose of it.

Do we have a local city dump in Ann Arbor?

That must have been a different troll, this one has only 1 post at this time.
I'd recomend another mode to take the Northstar to the tip, the risk of damage to the trim makes it not worth while. Does your local council have a hard refuse pickup service?

I suspect you are right. Oh well if we expose them to enough Prius we may convert them.

That might be the only way to get a Prius that is unreliable and gets less than 30mpg - put a Cadillac engine in it.

It would probably go really fast in a straight line - but the first turn at speed might be a problem.

Actually, the Northstar engine is supposed to be pretty good as far as GM engines go - but the Original Poster needs to get a different hobby - he/she/it should be hanging out at the GM forums where he/she/it can find like minded individuals to discuss his "ideas".
