Default 6 CD changer upgrade

Does anyone have experience with installing/upgrading to a 6 CD changer? Is it easy or very difficult and if it is the original Toyota part will the MFD then show all 6 CDs as it does in #9?

Here's what I found for you while looking at the Prius' on eBay
Click the image to open in full size.

It appears to have the 6 disc changer by Toyota that does not come with the normal Prius.

Thanks. Great pic. I like the wood. I would rather have the new changer replace the original one in the same spot.

I have 06 pkg 3 type 2 radio. I installed the cd changer and was not too difficut after figuring out how to dissamble the dash. Everything works, except, I cannot get the MFD to show the track# or disc #. I used cd changer PART # 08601-47800 with wiring harness PART # 08695-00370

You won't see the disc # that is playing on the MFD - I think that the operations guide accompanying the CD changer infers you won't (it states what you should see, and doesn't mention the disc currently playing) - no biggie though - all you have to do is look at the light panel on the changer. The Track # is another story - I am told there is a second wiring harness required to carry the track information to the MFD and am currently working with my dealer to get this installed.

Invest in an iPod and use that. Cheaper and better resale in future.
