Just saw my first Spectra Blue....

...ooh, what a nice color. They are very rare around here. In the 8 or so weeks that I've been paying attention to the local Prius population (i.e. since I got mine) this is the ONLY one I've seen. Fortunately this one was in a parking lot so I got a good look at it. And no one thought I was a potential car thief, either!

Bought mine right off the lot here in NJ in Jan.

Now that the weather's right, I've waxed it a couple of times & watched the sparkles sparkle.

I got mine the first day I really looked for one, I got VERY lucky, someone else ordered it and didn't want it, so the dealership called me as I had talked to them earlier in the day.

yeah if you want blue I would go with spectra blue.

I don't think its any prettier than my seaside blue, I think they are about equally pretty, but there are so many seaside blue's out there, so your spectra blue will seem very rare, a great choice.

but neither blue can compare to the beauty of the barcelona red, touring model with bisque leather, the barcelona red is almost as rare and even more gorgeous.

WELL, just say congratulations!!! I finally bought the Spectra Blue Pruis,
Package 5. Even though we wanted a package 2, the package 5 has so many features that we are learning to drive. Pictures to follow soon.

Now a question for all of you Prius Gurus. We bought the car 30 days ago,
and of course I am now faced with putting on a front license plate because we live in Iowa. I don't want to drill holes if I don't have to.
I saw a no holes mounting bracket online for a Mini Cooper. Does anyone
know if that would work for the Prius? It mounts in the Tow Hole in the
front of the car.

mine came with a front plate mount, and i can see uder the paint an indent for the holes

Ah yes, the Spectra Blue. When I ordered mine back in March, I was actually going to get the white one, and had even told the dealer so. When I pulled up though, there was a Spectra Blue Package #6 sitting out front, ready for pickup. It was sparkling and so shiny and I kept looking at it outside the salesman window. Right before he pulled the trigger on the order, I said wait, I think I want the Spectra Blue one.

I haven't seen another one that color since then, and have gotten lots of compliments on the color since delivery. Usually something along of the line as that's an ugly car, but I like the color.

I ordered a 2008 Spectra Blue, touring edition, package 6, a few months ago, and have had it for about a month. I have yet to see another one on the highway, but I have seen two in parking lots. The least common color, probably because of its introduction in 2008. I have added clear bra, window tinting, side body moldings, mud flaps, and rear bumper protector.

I've got spectra blue too, about to go outside and install my side moldings and prius decals. I got black decals for more subtlety, as that's my Prii style
