Default K&N Filters

Any thoughts about using K & N filters (oil & air) in the Prius? Is this throwing good money away or are they worth it. I know in my diesel truck, it was not recommend. Thoughts please!

Probably no performance benefit. It has been discussed previously:

I've one for the past 60,000 miles with no issues. I like the reuseable part. rinse, dry, oil, repeat. The Prius doesn't pull enough air to make a performance difference. And MPG on mine has not changed.

ditto remarks for our other Prius (her 2005) after 40,000 miles. One less thing to buy every 30,000 miles or so.
