Friends: 0 | I am currently in the market for 08 Prius w/Touring Pkgs. I saw dealer adversting on Craiglist for $31k plus tax&lic for Touring Pkgs. What kind of deals can you get with Touring Pkg option? Last edited by mccal; 05-30-2008 at 10:57 AM. Reason: grammar |

Regardless of the market that you're in, these cars (both Touring and base) are generally sold before the car even arrives on the lot. There are generally waiting lists that are between two and four months in length. As for deals, well, good luck with that, at least in the "traditional" sense of trying to bargain down from MSRP. The cars are so popular that price doesn't appear to be negotiable. Again, see the numerous threads on this... Much luck! | |

Friends: 0 | Back in Feb./ March before the price of gas went through the roof here in the Bay Area, one could easily get a Prius for about $ 2000 below MSRP - and there were plenty to choose from. Currently there are enough people in a panic that they are willing to pay any asking price for a Prius. With very high demand and relatively low supply, one currently does not have very much room for negotiation. If you want to get a good deal on a Prius, wait a while until the mass hysteria over the price of gas goes away. Toyota is not going to stop making the Prius any time soon. You can save a few thousand dollars if you are patient... Keith
